This 4-hour course provides instruction on how to effectively recognize and overcome obstacles within the organization that sidetrack continuous improvement efforts.  We will explore what constitutes leadership in a Lean setting and the organizational aspects ("the status quo") that can accelerate or impede improvement efforts.  The instructor-led and highly interactive workshop features mini-lectures, discussions and group exercises. 

After taking this class attendees will be able to:  

  • Observe, practice and learn the meaning of lean leadership
  • Learn how leaders can modify their personal behavior to optimize the lean journey
  • Learn and use effective methods to identify and mitigate organization obstacles to lean
  • Communicate to others the critical role leadership plays in successful lean organizations


Who should attend?  Any individual who is in or ready for a leadership position in an organization that plans to undertake or is already involved in a Lean implementation.
